e-PDS can be utilized in a local, regional or national level.  Because this system is Internet based, your operations manager and local drivers can access the distribution data, make changes in the route data and distribute the route sheets to a phone or printer from anywhere to anywhere.  Data can be analyzed in the corporate offices at the same time local drivers are getting ready to make deliveries.  You can have multiple publication drops per point, which can be combined on one route sheet or have separate route sheets per publication.  All this computer activity is real time / any time / any where.

To truly comprehend the Distribution of your publication, you can assign to a distribution point a Category Code and/or a Market ID.  A Category Code typically identifies the type of business (Bookstore, Grocery Store, Restaurant, Shopping Center, etc.) while a Market ID is focused on a geographic region (Downtown, North, South, Long Island, Manhattan, etc.).  By knowing how much movement (see Movement section) you have by Category Code and Market ID, you can easily profile your distribution, and analyze the questions of your distribution base - who, where, when and how much. 

Since, e-PDS can generate colorful pie charts and line charts, of your current distribution, you can provide to your Sales team, premium presentation aides that will separate you from your competitors.   Once perspective customers can see the big picture of what you can do for them, advertising dollars will continue to increase over time.  This will allow you to invest more into your distribution which will in turn generate more advertisements.
